As part of our efforts to combat dog homelessness, we have expanded and are working to further expand our foster and adoption reach.
We have a small dedicated group of volunteers and supporters who assist us in screening and getting dogs fostered or adopted to the following states:
California
Oregon
Washington
Nevada
Western Idaho
Most all of our dogs can be adopted into these states, and many of our dogs are available for long-term (2+ months, variable) foster commitments in these states.
In order to apply for a dog listed in another state, your application process may include:
Completion of Adoption Application
Video Submission of Yard Areas/Etc, any specific areas of interest
Veterinary Reference
Scheduling Meet and Greets/Home Visits/Send Home - this can include adopters arranging to come to the dog’s location, or rescue arranging to bring the dog to the applicant’s location. It is our goal to personally send our dogs to their forever homes, and be able to give adopters or fosters in-depth training advice for the utmost success in every unique situation. While we work to facilitate meetings, home visits, and adoptions as quickly as possible, distance, scheduling, and confirmation of additional dogs coming along on the trip, may result in a few weeks until transportation can be arranged/facilitated. We understand how exciting bringing home a new family member is, so we are more than happy to provide picture and video updates as we are able while waiting for a travel date to arrive!
In special circumstances, with appropriate screening and coordination, we do consider some adoptions to states other than those listed, but we cannot guarantee each applicant or dog could be approved for such - we try to keep our adoptions within states that are close by, and where we have volunteer and staff support to assist quickly in case of any unplanned events or emergencies. Adoptions considered to states beyond those listed above will have transportation cost of gas added to the adoption fee.
